About the School What You Will Learn Who to Contact The Operators Training School (OTS) Program is an exciting new instructional concept for Loader Backhoe operators and Hydraulic Excavator operators. Excavating contractors throughout the Lower Mainland and the Province of BC are constantly in need of trained operators OTS provides the source of well trained personnel, thereby improving job creation and career enhancement opportunities.
All courses are fast moving with emphasis on skill development by actual equipment operation on a simulated job site.
These courses are competency based and job oriented. They have the endorsement of the Lower Mainland Equipment Owners Association and are in accordance with the regulations set out by the Private Post-Secondary Education Commission.
The operating skills required by the excavating industry to enter the workforce as a Excavator operator or Loader Backhoe operator .
The ability to carry out required daily and scheduled maintenance tasks.
The knowledge of the services provided by excavating contractors to customers, prime contractors and prospective customers.
Safe work practices are emphasized in all areas of skill training.
