Remote Data Back-Up Setup
Net Idea recommends Cobian to back-up files with our remote data back-up service. This section will guide you through the program and how to set it up.
Cobian is a freeware utility program that allows you to perform regularly scheduled backups using your Internet connection to transfer your data to a secure off-site location. Your backup service contract with Net Idea is not dependant on using Cobian, however it is highly recommended for ease of use and support purposes. Cobian is specifically designed to work on Windows NT based systems. This includes: NT4, 2000 and XP. Cobian has a release for Windows 95 Family releases as well, including 95, 98, 98SE, and Millennium Edition, however this version has discontinued support on the software.

Installation
Installation is simple, and as with most Windows installers, you basically have to click 'Next' to proceed through the steps. Unless your IT professional has advised otherwise, you should ensure to install this program as a service so it can run even when all users are logged off. This is the only step in the install process that you will need to adjust. Once the program is installed, and is running for the first time, you will see the Cobian user interface (UI).
